libimage-exiftool-perl software package provides library and program to read and write meta information in multimedia files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libimage-exiftool-perl
libimage-exiftool-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libimage-exiftool-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libimage-exiftool-perl *
You will get with libimage-exiftool-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
